Biographies of Elected School Board Members
 

  Mrs. Fran Hackbarth

2005-2008, 2008-2011

   
  Mrs. Hackbarth retired in 2001 after a 34 year career as a Supervisory Computer Specialist for the Staff, Commander in Chief Pacific at Camp Smith. She is a lifelong St. Anthony parishioner and volunteers in several capacities.

A graduate of St. Ann’s High School and Chaminade College, she was also a member of the first graduating class (1958) at St. Anthony School.

  CDR Vince Lowell, USN

2008-2011

   
 

CDR Vince Lowell is privileged to serve as Officer In Charge of Executive Transport Detachment Pacific, a unit charged with the airlift of Commander Pacific Fleet.  During his 17 years of Naval Service, he has held a variety of operational and staff assignments as a Naval helicopter and transport pilot, based in the continental U.S. and Guam.   

Born in St. Louis, MO, he is a graduate of St. Louis Priory High School, a Benedictine college preparatory school for boys, and earned the rank of Eagle Scout.  He holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. 

 CDR Lowell wed Jennifer Scott in 1995.  Blessed with 5 children, they are parishioners of St. Anthony and parents of St. Anthony students. 

     

  Mr. Paul A. Pollock, AIA

2006-2009

   
  Mr. Pollock is the Deputy Operations Officer for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific.  He holds a Bachelors of Architecture from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, is a licensed architect in the State of Hawaii and a Pacific Century Fellow.

Mr. Pollock is an alumnus of St. Anthony School and Damien Memorial School, and has a son attending St. Anthony.
     

  Ms. Patricia Miyashiro

2008-2011

   
 

Tricia Miyashiro is an Assistant Vice President and Surety Manager at Island Insurance.  She is responsible for managing Surety underwriting and handles all new business and product development. Miyashiro has over 15 years of experience in the Surety industry. She holds a BA from the University of Hawaii at Manoa as well as an Associate in Surety & Fidelity Bonds (AFSB) from the Insurance Institute of America.  Ms. Miyashiro is an active member of the General Contractors Association of Hawaii, Building Industry Association-Hawaii, National Association of Credit Management, and the current President of the Hawaii Surety Association.

Born and raised in Kailua, Ms. Miyashiro is a lifelong member of St. Anthony’s Parish and volunteers in several ministries. Ms. Miyashiro is married to Duane Miyashiro and has a daughter that attends St. Anthony’s School.

     

Ms. Mary M. Beddow

2007-2010

  Mary Beddow is affiliated with Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties, Windward Office, and has been active in the Hawaii residential real estate market since 1992

Most recently Mary was elected as a 2006-2008 Windward Regional Director for The Honolulu Board of Realtors and was a nominee to the Aloha Aina Awards Program recognizing excellence in the Real Estate industry.
 

     

  Mr. Ian C. Lange, P.E.

2008-2011

   
 

Ian Lange is the Director of Construction for Forest City Hawaii, overseeing the construction of over 3000 new Navy and Marine Corps homes throughout Hawaii.  He retired from the United States Navy in 2006 as a Commander following the completion of a successful 20 year career in the Civil Engineer Corps. 

Ian is a registered professional engineer in the state of Hawaii, and holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (BEME) from Vanderbilt University, and a Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) from University of Washington.  He is married to Lisa Valle and has a daughter who attends St Anthony School.

     

  Ms. Kea Matory, Esq.

2008-2011

   
 

Kea Matory is an attorney and a member of the Hawai’i State Bar.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Arizona State University and a Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law.  Before attending law school Mrs. Matory was a journalist for ABC Network News in Los Angeles.

She received her confirmation at St. Anthony and her eldest child attends St. Anthony School.
