What greater work is there than training the mind and forming the habits of the young?
The middle school lanai consists of grades six, seven and eight. The middle school provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where students are able to attain academic excellence through the acquisition of Catholic values, knowledge, service to God and the community, the sharing of gifts and talents, and good citizenship.
The smaller class size in the middle school lanai ensures more personal attention to each student.
Academic classes include Religion, Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, and Digital Technology. Special classes include Art, Music, Writing, and P.E.
A variety of extracurricular activities are offered during or after school. They include Community Service and Service Projects, Student Council, Leadership in Religious celebrations and services, participation in the Safe & Caring Schools Program, Drama, Band, Hula, Volleyball, Basketball, Track, and After School Care.

Science education in the middle grades focuses on developing inquiry skills, creating curiosity about the natural world, and establishing a basis of scientific literacy. Students study the major strands of Physical Science, Life Science and Earth Science as they progress through the grades. Each year students choose a topic and participate in Science Fair competitions. We take advantage of our natural environment and community assets to expand learning beyond the classroom with field trips and excursions. Some of these include experiencing the thrill of forces with boxcars, studying the geology of Oahu and comparing invasive and native species in the forest. Partnering with community groups for service projects allows our students to contribute their energy to protecting our local environment. Our goal is to prepare students for their future studies in high school while encouraging a sense of wonder and appreciation of God’s creation.
