Small Fire Damages School Building
1 March 2007

Firefighters were called to the St. Anthony School campus shortly after 1:00 am on March 1st when neighbors called 911 to report a fire.  Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire which was located in a three room structure built in the early 1930’s as the original church.  The fire was contained to the school’s Art Room, which is located in the center of the building.  The school’s Music Room and After School Care Program also utilize this building.

At this time the building is still closed off for investigations.  All school classes and programs will continue to operate without interruption by utilizing other classrooms on campus.

Early indications from Fire Investigators suggest the source of the fire was electrical and damage is estimated at $50,000.
