Aloha SAS ʻOhana,
As a school community, we continue to keep in our prayers the families and communities impacted by the recent heavy rains and flooding across our island. Many have experienced damage to their homes, loss of belongings, and ongoing uncertainty in the days ahead. During times like these, we are reminded of the importance of compassion, faith, and coming together to support one another. As a school grounded in our values, we believe in mālama—caring for and supporting the people in our communities, especially in times of need.
In a special way, we are lifting up the families and children in the Waiālua and Haleʻiwa communities, as well as others across the island who have been affected. We invite our students and families to join us in prayer for strength, safety, and healing for all those facing hardship.
To support those in need, we are asking our school community to consider donating the following items:
Non-perishable food items
Bottled water
Toiletries and basic hygiene items
Baby supplies (diapers, wipes, formula)
Cleaning supplies
Household items (sheets, towels, pans)
Clothes and shoes of all sizes
Pet food and supplies
Donations will go directly to families and children impacted by the flooding. If you are able, please consider sending a few items with your child by Friday, March 27. All donations will be collected in the school office and then organized to be delivered at one of the donation sites. Every act of generosity—no matter how small—will make a meaningful difference.
Mahalo for continuing to live out our school’s mission through faith, kindness, and service to others. Together, we can be a source of hope for families who need it most right now.
